We just spent the last two installments addressing whether or not the world would be better off and more pleasing to God if religions stopped focusing on the eternal and spent all of our time meeting each other’s needs. The seemingly counterintuitive answer is no. The world would not be better off and more pleasing to God if all we focused on was benevolence in the temporal plane.
