Police: Vehicle burglarized outside rec center

A purse valued at $50 and a wallet valued at $25 containing debit cards, insurance cards and a driver’s license reportedly were stolen Nov. 8 from a black Buick Encore parked in the Bettenhausen Recreation Center parking lot on 171st Street. The alleged victim reportedly returned to her vehicle to discover that the passenger-side front window had been broken and the purse and wallet were missing. In addition to the debit and insurance cards and driver’s license, the alleged victim reportedly told police the wallet contained $300.
