In my line of work (professional layabout) I go through my day dealing with a myriad of issues, most of which are easily resolvable if the right people would take a modicum of interest in the problem. But they don’t. They say that they do, but they don’t. Now I could provide a list of the kinds of ridiculous issues I deal with at work on a daily basis but this column has enough things going against it already, so I won’t be adding to that particular pile today. That being said, I recently had the opportunity to break bread with some of the “higher ups” in my company.
