Christine M. McGrane
Christine M. McGrane (nee Wagner), 69, of Tinley Park, died June 14. She is survived by her children, Kate (Kacey) Krause, Dan (Jayme) and Patty (Christopher) Trudeau;grandchildren, Wyatt and Sawyer Krause, Luke, Ben, and Owen McGrane, and Leo and Olivia Trudeau; siblings, Carol (Jack) Schoening, Kathy (Edward) Kosteck, William (Judy) Wagner and Frances (Dale) Miller; and many nieces and nephews survive. In lieu of flowers, donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice (250 Water Stone Circle Joliet IL 60431) in her honor would be appreciated.
Roy D. McGrath
Roy D. McGrath, 84, of Tinley Park, died June 8. He was a veteran of the U.S Army. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary; children, Daniel (Margo), Michael (Rebecca), Michelle (Matt) Stegall and Kathleen (Maurice) McNulty; grandchildren, Brian, Thomas, Michael, Amie, Maurice, John, Martin, Roy and Mia; brother, Robert (Mary).
Carol A. Jaskierski
Carol A. Jaskierski, 76, of Tinley Park, died June 8. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard; children, David (Nancy), and Brian (Mary Beth); grandchilden, Caleigh, Jack, Conor, Erin, Caitlyn, and Claire; siblings, James (Donna) Smith, Paul (Lois) Smith; and many nieces and nephews survive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Dennis Schnering, 83, of Tinley Park, died June 7. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rita; children, Cindy (Gary) Jager, Kathy (Chris) Schmitt; grandchildren, Gary (Courtney) Jager, Jill (Scott) Sonsiadek, Shaun (Kristin) Kenney, Jenny (Patrick) Coennen, Katie (Chris) George, and Brett (Danielle) Kenney; and 15 great-grandchildren. Dennis was a retired Maintenance & Grounds Supervisor of Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills, He was an amazing, kind, and loving husband, father, brother, son, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. He has left us with many memories, jokes and stories which will be his legacy. A celebration of Dennis’s life will take place later this year.
Thomasina (Tommie) G. Satek
Thomasina (Tommie) G. Staek (nee Farias), 95, a long-time resident of Tinley Park, died June 7. She is survived by her children, William Joseph Satek III (Colette) and Darlene Lindsay (James); grandchildren, William Satek IV, Krysta Satek, Kyle (Amanda) Satek, Ryan Lindsay (Kelly), and Paul Satek; great-grandchildren, Julianne and Caroline. Tommie worked at the Shelburne New England Shirt Company of Fall River for 18 years sewing shirts for the US military. She also worked as a hair dresser in Fall River. She met William J. Satek Jr., a sailor, fell in love with him and they moved together to Tinley Park in 1959, where she lovingly raised her family. She worked at White Meyers Cabinets and as a molding machine operator for ITW until her retirement. She became interested in baseball watching her grandson Paul play little league and enjoyed watching the Cubs in her later years. Tommie was deeply religious and while residing in Tinley Park regularly attended St. George Catholic Church.
Alexander Pappas, 87, of Tinley Park, died June 4. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol Lee; children, Andrew (Antje), James (Deborah), and Theodore (Helen); grandchildren, Annika, Alexis, Stephanie (Michael) Zoellner, Alexander, John, and Zacharias; siblings, George and Elaine; and many nieces and nephews survive. In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox.
