It was hot and humid.

It was not unbearable. But even a little hot and humid could be tough if you are not allowed to eat or drink.

The Running Excels’ inaugural Attack the Track Marathon Relay took place on June 1 at Chicago Christian High School in Palos Heights under hot and humid conditions.

The wrinkle of this event was that 26 runners for each team would run a mile. Many runners were based in the South Suburbs and the Tinley Park Track and Trail club won the event.
