Tinley Park’s football team is in limbo because of two potential teacher strikes. If Bremen District 228 goes on strike, the Titans are finished. If the Chicago Public Schools go on strike and the Titans win their final two games, they could make the playoffs with a 4-5 record. JEFF VORVA/22ND CENTURY MEDIA

A lot of things can happen in this striking scenario

Tinley Park’s football team trudged off the field after suffering a 41-0 road loss to Hillcrest on Friday, Oct. 11, with a 2-5 record.

Five is usually the tragic number when it comes to being eliminated for the Illinois High School Association’s playoff consideration. The Titans were eliminated after seven games last year at this time and went on to win their last two games, which pleased then-first-year coach Josh O’Shea.
