It was a week of big numbers on the diamonds for Tinley Park High School’s baseball and softball teams.

In six South Suburban Conference games in a four-day span starting on April 8, the two teams roughed up their opponents by a combined score of 75-11. The baseball team outscored its league foes 41-2 while the softball team outscored opponents 34-9.

The biggest bonanza in this streak came on April 8 when the baseball team shut down Thornton Fractional South, 18-0 and the softball team beat Eisenhower, 11-0.
