In a season that came nowhere close to its hopes, the Andrew High School boys basketball team did finish the 2018-19 campaign with the effort of a winner.

The Thunderbolts, seeded last in its own Illinois High School Association Class 4A Regional, nearly pulled off a big upset in the opening round Feb. 25 before falling 50-43 to Plainfield North in overtime. North went on to beat Lockport in the semifinals and fell in the finals to Waubonsie Valley.

Andrew ended the season with a 2-28 mark.
