A good way to not make it to the sectional if you are a bowler is to open regional action tossing a 109.

Tinley Park High School sophomore Evan Veres opened the Bremen Regional with that nightmarish score on Saturday, Jan. 18 at Centennial Lanes in Tinley Park.

Game over?

Nope.

The game was just beginning for Veres.

Veres finished the first half of the six-game set with a 186 and 190 which were better scores, but not scores that were going to advance him to sectional play.
